in leaves of infected non-transgenic papaya. Samples were collected at
periodic intervals from the same three leaves of test plants and tested by
ELISA. Sampled leaves were positioned as the top expanded leaf at 8 (A),
12 (B), and 14 (C) days p.i. The results are the mean ELISA readings of
four or five plants from two experiments. 
, Healthy non-transgenic papaya. The readings were taken after 1 h of
substrate hydrolysis.
