NS and NP trees were rooted to A/Equine/Prague/1/56 and B/Lee/40 sequences, respectively. Virus names and abbreviations can be found in Table 1 of Guan et al. (1999), in Guo et al. (2000) or in GenBank by using the following accession numbers: M16565, M80942, Z26864, Z26863, AF144303, M30765, M22574, M24660, M63780, Z26855, M22579, M63772.
